Shark Detect Pro Lift-Away ADV Bagless Upright Vacuum with DuoClean Detect, HEPA Filter, Anti-Allergen, Powerful Suction, and Odor Neutralizer Technology, Evergreen

I bought this a few months ago and it was wonderful! Now everytime I vacuum it jumps up and down and leves terrible marks in the carpet. It looks worse than before I vacuumed it.

Regretted this purchase within days. On carpet or large area rugs anchored by furniture it's ok. Not great but ok. Unless there's a setting I haven't found yet, it's impossible to vacuum smaller rugs without it trying to pull the rug into the roller. You can use the hard floor mode but then you lose the roller/beater option to better clean the rug. It doesn't fit well under furniture unless you're willing to give up the power nozzle. It doesn't pick up fine dust along the edges or hard floors.- not even with multiple passes. The liftoff canister is ok for vacuuming stairs but there's no power tools for carpeted stairs. My last vacuum had a smaller power roller brush like a pet hair attachment - this one does not. Also the motor/canister area gets so hot it partially melted the crevice tool and warped it so it doesn't fit smoothly. The power cord is insanely short so expect to have to unplug and plug it in elsewhere to finish a decent sized room (like a master bedroom). And finally if there is ANYTHING on the floor like even a pair of shoes, it will lift up over the sole and try to vacuum up the shoe. This product was clearly QA'd in an empty 10x10 room with only clumps of dirt by a person who'd never operated a vacuum before.

I am super disappointed in this vacuum. I have two German Shepards and this vacuum just can't seem to handle their hair. I do not have any carpet in my home, only hard flooring, and the vacuum continues to get jammed and hair gets built up and stuck in the roller. I have to take it apart often to keep that area clear. The chord on the vacuum is also way too short. I've always had Dysons and wanted to give Shark a try, but I feel like I've made a mistake.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum has a very powerful suction. I use it to clean my rugs, wood floors, and my couch. It works great for all of them with the different settings and attachments. It isn't too loud. It rolls really well and you can maneuver it easily. I love that there is a light so you can see in dimmer areas. It has a very large collection bin that is easy to remove and empty. The only thing I wish this product had would be a retractable cord. It is a little annoying to have to wrap it up every time.

It's bagless too, makes it easier to empty out. The lift-away pod is a nice feature, easily reach ceilings too for quick cleaning. The odor neutralizer suppresses any dust smell without spreading. The self cleaning brush roll leaves no tangled mess and very easy to operate. The edge detect and direction detect works well. Very easy to clean heavy carpets. Floor detect helps to seamlessly switch between hardwood and carpets. My only negative would be that the lift away pod might feel a little heavy in the hand for longer cleaning. But it can be easily overlooked with the powerful cleaning you are getting. Definitely recommend it.
