[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the Shark robot vacuum, and as someone who owned a Roomba a decade ago, followed by a Roborock S6 with mapping capabilities, here's my take on it: Pros: 1. Hair doesn't get stuck in the roller, which is a significant relief for pet owners like me. 2. The "self-dust-sucking" feature is a game-changer. I don't need to empty it as frequently as other robots, making maintenance hassle-free. 3. It's surprisingly quiet while effectively cleaning both hardwood floors and carpets. 4. The sleek design adds a modern touch to my home. Cons: 1. The biggest drawback is that it gets lost frequently. It often gets stuck under furniture, requiring frequent rescues. My Roborock only needs assistance when its dustbin is full. 2. Mapping capabilities leave much to be desired. Real-time tracking should be standard at this price point. I once had to search for it in the middle of the night because it got lost, and I received no notification until the next morning due to a dead battery. 3. Better scheduling options would be appreciated. I'd love to have the flexibility to clean different rooms at specific times, but currently, it only allows for one cleaning cycle per day. Overall, the Shark robot vacuum is a decent choice, especially for its ability to handle pet hair and efficient cleaning. However, the frequent getting-lost issue makes it hard to replace my old robot vacuum entirely. I'll likely use it for spot cleaning and touch-ups, given its superior cleaning performance.
